DIY Pick and Place Robot

I am working on a DIY Pick and Place Robot course with my friend Balaji. I am taking care of the software side of things while the hardware is taken care by Balaji.

Description

A pick and place robotic system automates the process of picking up parts and placing them in a desired location. These robots plays a major role in industrial automation. The system consists of links, joints & gripper equivalent to a human hand. Each joint in the robot and the gripper contains a separate motor for automating the pick and place operation.

Prerequisite

  • Basic programming knowledge in Go
  • No knowledge of electronics is needed. This course is self-sufficient with the electronics knowledge you will need to build the pick and place robot.
  • This course is also self-sufficient with the Swift and App Inventor knowledge you will need to develop the iOS and Android App

What’s included in the kit?

Pick and place robotic arm kit is a do it yourself kit for hobbyist aimed at providing hands on experience in developing a full fledged robotic arm with 6 degrees of freedom (6 Motors). The kit is bundled with all the necessary mechanical components, electronic components and assembly instructions for building the robot. It also includes a detailed tutorial for developing connectivity between the robotic arm and Arduino using Go. We will also be developing an Android and iOS application to talk with the Arduino and control the robotic arm from a mobile device using Bluetooth.
